Prom 75

Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610

Monteverdi Choir
London Oratory Junior Choir
Schola cantorum of the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School
His Majestys Sagbutts and Cornetts
English Baroque Soloists
is a group of virtuoso wind players who specialise
in playing Renaissance and Baroque music
in historically appropriate styles on original instruments.

Sir John Eliot Gardiner- Conductor
It was more moving and interesting than I imagined.
The choirs were just amazing and so moving.
It was my first time to listen to live Baroque music but
I really enjoyed it!

The End

It was the last night of Prom at RAH so,
of course it was extremely busy.
I was really worried that I might not get a ticket!
Maybe it was good after all that few of my friends couldn't make it.
I can't have left one behind and gone in, can I?
Maybe I might have done that...? :)

 Yes, it's BBC PROMS
It's recorded every night!

I remember coming to PROM last year tonight.
Yoyo Ma was playing and it was much colder,
I remember in the distance that we all had to wear a coat
that night, but was warmer tonight.
A year goes very quickly!

Good Bye Proms 2010
See you next year!

PROM 44

Nearly missed today's PROM as it was so so so popular!
The queue was all the way to Imperial Collage London,
student union means it is a dame long queue!
But met some really funny tourists, borrowed my bike
then caught by the police and told me stories of Micheal Fagan
who broke into Buckingham Palace in the 1980s!
So random but entertaining!

I got in by the skin of the teeth!
ticket no. 593...there were only a few more who got in
and quite a number of people were turned away.
It was such a popular Prom,
Rachmaninov and Nikolai Luganski
It was exquisite! not only Rachmaninov but all three pieces.
It was irritating people were coughing or making noise almost
deliberately between the movements.
Anyway, it was a fubulous night!

  • Beethoven Overture 'Coriolan' (8 mins)
  • Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (25 mins)
  • Tchaikovsky Suite No. 3 in G major, Op. 55 (38 mins)
  • Nikolai Lugansky piano
  • Russian National Orchestra
  • Andrey Boreyko conductor

PROM 21

RAH Clark room

Sir Simon Rattle

PROM 21 6.30pm-8.30pm- RAH
  • Berlioz Romeo and Juliet – Love Scene (18 mins)
  • Wagner Tristan und Isolde – Act 2 (80 mins)
    (concert performance; sung in German)

  •        Franz-Josef Selig King Mark
  •        Sarah Connolly Brangäne

BBC PROMS 2010

16 July- 11 September 2010
Royal Albert Hall London

BBC PROMS '09- Silk Road Ensemble

Following its Proms debut in 2004, cellist Yo-Yo Ma's innovative

and cross-cultural Silk Road Ensemble returns for a cornucopian

Late Night Prom as part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations.

The boundary-crossing offering explores yet

more of the historical and contemporary musical links

between East and West, inspired by the ancient trading route

between China and Europe. (ref. BBC website)

Proms 32, Sun 9th Aug 09

Katia and Marielle Labèque

2009년의 Proms는 어제의 Proms in the Park을
