themed galleries make connections between objects
and activities common to different cultures
such as money, reading and writing, and the
representation of the human image.'

최근에 £61million 확장 + 업그레이드 프로젝트를 

마치고 시민들에게 선을 보였다. 

지인이 몇 개의 겔러리 인테리어 디자인에 참여하셔서 

그 모습이 어떨지 더 궁금했다.  

확장한 부분들의 모습들....

천장의 자연광을 최대로 이용했다. 

맑았던 Oxford 하늘

어느 겔러리에서 바라본 입구의 모습...

입구는 기존의 건물에 위치에 있다. 

 
새로운 박물관의 건축 과정을 상세히 전시했더군.

확장 계획 모형

다소 좁은 느낌은 있었지만 다양하고 다른 문화들
사이를 연결시키려는 전시법은 다른 박물관들과는 
차별화 할 수 있는 점이라 하겠다. 

꼭대기 층의 박물관 카페도 방문해 보기를,
옥스퍼드를 파노라마로 즐길 수 있다. 
런던의 National Portrait Gallery cafe를 연상케했다. 
개인적으로 여기가 더 편안한 느낌을 주는 거 같다.
내가 좋아하는 작가들의 유화들도 만날 수 있었다. 
Oxford에 놀러 갔다가 얻는 작은 행복 하나!
